Volunteer

Code/Art offers yearround volunteer opportunities to individuals interested in helping lead our school year or summer CodeHER clubs for girls in grades 3-8. Volunteer Instructors must attend an online training session to learn Code/Art’s intro to creative coding lessons as well as online teaching best practices.

As a volunteer, you’re able to teach as much or as little as you want by entering your availability (days and hours) into our system and receiving alerts when you “match” for a teaching slot. A typical volunteer may teach up to 16 hours per semester.

Qualifications:

● Currently or previously majored or minored in Computer Science or having a related background

● Experience coding in Scratch and JavaScript, or a willingness and ability to quickly learn

● Experience working with students in grades 4-12 a plus
