What is Code/Art?
Code/Art is a non-profit organization based out of Miami, FL seeking to inspire girls of all backgrounds to pursue a career in computer science by creating art!
What does Code/Art do?
The majority of the work done revolves around 3 key programs that aim at providing girls with early onramps to coding through art. The programs are: After School & Virtual CodeHER Clubs, Professional Development Courses for Educators, and Code/Art Fest.
What is Code/Art Fest?
An annual event in South Florida aimed at highlighting the achievements of young female coders and increasing their awareness of opportunities in computing careers. The festival includes a student digital art exhibition, coding workshops, a hands-on STEAM expo, women in tech speakers, and awards ceremony for an all-girls coding competition. Code/Art Fest is for girls of different grades from pre-K to grade 12, but also for parents, educators, and supporters.

How can my daughter take the lessons?
Through our in-person or online coding clubs- called CodeHER clubs. Please contact us to see which option is best for your daughter based on your location. You can also subscribe to our newsletter to be updated on the start dates of new clubs.
Who can participate in Code/Art's CodeHER clubs?
Code/Art offers CodeHER club options for female students in grades 3-12. Clubs are segmented by grade groups.
Who can compete in Code/Art's Annual Competition?
Our annual competition is for female students from 3-12th grade who live or attend a school in Miami Dade or Broward County.

Do you offer volunteer opportunities?
Yes. We accept volunteer instructors, TA’s, and workshop leads to assist with our CodeHER Clubs or to hold workshops. These opportunities require volunteers to have a background in computer science.
Additionally, our biggest volunteer recruitment outreach is in the spring for our annual Code/Art Fest and you do not need coding experience to volunteer. Please fill out our volunteer form to stay in the loop for updates.
