In response to COVID-19, all CodeHER Clubs are meeting online until further notice.

About CodeHER Clubs

CodeHer clubs are free after-school programs where girls can learn 3D modeling, game design, and code their own art pieces! These clubs serve as onramp to coding for girls in grades 4-12 at a time when they tend to shy away from computer science.

 Stay Enlightened
By adding ART to Code, CodeHER clubs aim to have words like “creative” and “exciting” replace “boring” and “difficult” in the minds of girls when they think about coding.

 Find Community
CodeHER clubs are engaging and cooperative spaces where girls are free to learn together, ask questions, and help each other out!

Showcase Your Work
Students not only graduate with a portfolio of cool coding projects but they also get to submit their projects for Code/Art’s annual girls-only coding competition for a chance to win fun prizes!

Why Clubs Matter

Even though Women make up 57% — well over half – of all US undergraduates, only 18% — less than 1 in 5 – of US Computer Science grads are female.

Now more than ever, it is important that we have our best minds — male and female — designing the technology we all rely on. The purpose of CodeHER clubs is to inspire our girls to be the next generation of tech makers by creating a space where they’re free to be creative and innovative.
